Ketua PW Salimah Bangka Belitung, Mamik Sarwendah, menyampaikan bahwa peringatan Hari Ibu menjadi momentum untuk meneguhkan peran perempuan sebagai pilar kesehatan keluarga.
Sementara itu, penyuluhan kesehatan bertema disampaikan oleh dokter Komarudin, Dokter Spesialis Penyakit Dalam RSBT Pangkalpinang. Ia menekankan pentingnya deteksi dini dan penerapan gaya hidup sehat untuk mencegah masalah jantung dan tekanan darah tinggi.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang diwakili Kepala Bidang Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit (P2P), Meiristia Qomariah.
Ia menyampaikan bahwa penyakit tidak menular seperti hipertensi, diabetes, dan penyakit jantung masih menjadi tantangan kesehatan di Bangka Belitung, sehingga edukasi dan peran aktif perempuan sangat diperlukan.
Di kegiatan ini, PW Salimah Bangka Belitung bersama dengan Yakesma memberikan santunan kepada 20 anak yatim dan dhuafa serta menyalurkan 50 mushaf Al-Qur’an kepada 10 Majelis Taklim yang ada di Kota Pangkalpinang.
