Tulungagung (13/7/2025) — Dalam rangka meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat, khususnya kalangan lanjut usia dalam menghadapi situasi darurat kesehatan, Salimah Tulungagung mengadakan kegiatan Sosialisasi Bantuan Hidup Jantung Dasar (BHD) pada Ahad (13/7). Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Auditorium IDIK RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung dan diikuti oleh peserta Sekolah Lansia Salimah (Salsa) Angkatan ke-4 serta para alumni.
Kegiatan ini menghadirkan narasumber utama dr. Fahreza Caesario, Sp.JP, seorang dokter spesialis jantung dari RSUD dr. Iskak Tulungagung. Dalam paparannya, dr. Fahreza menyampaikan urgensi penguasaan teknik Bantuan Hidup Jantung Dasar oleh masyarakat umum, terutama lansia yang kerap menjadi saksi atau penolong pertama saat terjadi kondisi henti jantung di lingkungan sekitar.
“Ketika seseorang mengalami henti jantung, otak hanya mampu bertahan selama sekitar delapan menit tanpa suplai darah. Maka, tindakan pertolongan pertama harus dilakukan sesegera mungkin. Keterlambatan penanganan dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan otak permanen, bahkan kematian,” ungkap dr. Fahreza dalam presentasinya.
Materi yang disampaikan meliputi pengenalan indikasi henti jantung dan henti napas, serta tahapan-tahapan pertolongan awal yang dikenal dengan prinsip CAB: Circulation (sirkulasi darah melalui kompresi dada), Airway (pembukaan jalan napas), dan Breathing (bantuan pernapasan). Peserta juga diperkenalkan dengan algoritma standar BHD serta prinsip-prinsip resusitasi jantung paru (RJP) yang benar.
Tidak hanya sebatas teori, kegiatan ini juga dilengkapi dengan sesi praktik langsung. Para peserta dibimbing oleh Tim Emergency Rescue Service (TEMS) RSUD Dr. Iskak Tulungagung untuk mempraktikkan teknik kompresi dada dan pengukuran denyut nadi. Dengan antusias, para peserta mencoba simulasi pada manekin dan mendapat bimbingan langsung dari tim medis profesional.
“Kami sangat bersyukur bisa mengikuti kegiatan ini. Awalnya saya takut salah saat menolong orang yang pingsan, tapi sekarang jadi lebih tahu apa yang harus dilakukan,” tutur Ibu Ulfa, salah satu peserta.
Kepala Sekolah Salsa Tulungagung, Siswati menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan seperti ini akan terus digalakkan, mengingat lansia bukan hanya objek perlindungan, tetapi juga subjek yang mampu berperan aktif dalam menjaga kesehatan dan keselamatan lingkungan sekitarnya.
Melalui kegiatan ini, Salimah Tulungagung berharap dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap kasus-kasus kegawatdaruratan jantung yang bisa terjadi kapan saja dan di mana saja. [fat]
