Tulungagung (3/9) – Luka bakar adalah luka yang terjadi akibat sentuhan permukaan tubuh dengan benda yang menghasilkan panas, baik langsung maupun tidak langsung seperti tersiram air panas, terbakar api, tersetrum listrik, zat kimia keras dan sinar matahari.
“Jika terkena luka bakar, hal pertama yang harus dilakukan adalah mendinginkan bagian yang terkena luka dengan air mengalir 5 sampai 10 menit hingga nyeri berkurang,” kata dr. Naning Wahyu Febriani saat menjadi narasumber materi Pertolongan pertama pada Kondisi Darurat dalam Sekolah Lansia Salimah (Salsa) yang diadakan Salimah Tulungagung pada Ahad (3/9/2023) di Klinik Cordova, Tulungagung.
Selanjutnya, jika luka cukup luas, balut luka dengan plastik wrap untuk menjaga area yang terbakar saat dalam perjalanan untuk mendapatkan perawatan medis.
Menurut dokter umum Puskesmas Balesono Ngunut ini, ada tiga derajat dan luas luka bakar.
Luka bakar derajat 1 atau luka bakar ringan memiliki karakteristik luka tidak lebih dari 8 cm. Luka ini umumnya tidak menimbulkan kondisi serius karena hanya mengenai lapisan kulit terluar.
Derajat 2 atau luka bakar sedang ditandai dengan kulit melepuh, bengkak, kemerahan dan sangat perih.
“Luka ini paling sakit karena langsung mengenai syaraf kulit. Jika luka melebar di bagian tubuh tertentu, perlu mendapatkan perawatan medis,” terang Naning.
Derajat 3 atau luka bakar berat adalah luka bakar yang berpotensi merusak jaringan lebih dalam hingga syaraf, otot, dan tulang. Lukanya berwarna putih atau menghitam. Luka ini tidak menimbulkan rasa nyeri karena adanya syaraf yang terdampak.
Untuk pencegahan terkena luka bakar, jangan lupa mematikan kompor dan setrika setelah digunakan. “Gunakan pelindung tangan saat memasak dan hindari merokok di dalam rumah atau gedung serta siapkan alat pemadam api ringan di rumah,” pungkas Naning. (fat)
